Gravel comes in many sizes — from pea gravel (3/8 inch) to crusher run (3/4 inch) — and is used for drainage, driveways, and decorative applications. Unlike ABC, loose gravel does not compact into a hard surface, making it suitable for permeable driveways and drainage beds.

It is also used as a decorative ground cover around buildings and in rain gardens. North State Trucking can source the appropriate gravel grade for your specific project.

How much will I need?

A 3-inch layer over 1,000 sq ft requires roughly 12 tons. Most projects need 4–20 loads.
